After Sage aquired Compass in early 2017, I worked with their team in San Francisco to develop a concept for their next generation release. The goals were to help the user better understand the insights and to make the data more actionable for the smaller SMB customers.
The challenge was a diverse user community ranging from small SMB's to professionals working with larger companies. Given that I had experience on a small scale managing SEO and paid site advertising, I understood the challenges of the small SMB user.
The design focused on providing insights to the user, coupled with recommendations. Some recommendations were quite simple to implement, whereas others may require a hand-off to their partner channel. The measure for success was to give the SMB customer a sense of progress by following incremental steps to improved their analytics and revenue.
